DHM Drops — For the Morning After, Taken Before It Starts

Every product in this category is sold with a picture of a sunrise. None of them change the arithmetic: alcohol is metabolised at a fixed rate and nothing accelerates it. What you can influence is everything around it, and timing is most of that.

When to take it

• Before the first drink, or with it — DHM (dihydromyricetin, from Chinese vine tea) is the ingredient to have on board before the alcohol arrives, not the morning after.
• Before bed — the second dose, for the hours you are asleep.

What is in it, and why each one

• DHM — the headline ingredient.
• NAC — a precursor to glutathione, which is what your liver uses for the work in question.
• Kudzu root — the traditional companion in this formula.
• B-complex and 5-HTP — for the next-day mood and energy dip.
• Zinc and electrolytes — because a large part of how you feel is dehydration that water alone does not fully fix.

What this is not

It is not a licence to drink more. It does not make alcohol safe, and it does not change a legal driving limit. Never take it with paracetamol or anything else that loads the liver on the same night.
